The Process
Mark Out
The Pre-Excavation Meeting also known as the Mark Out Stage, (CLICK TO EXPLORE) is a crucial step in the journey towards creating the pool of your dreams in your own backyard. This is where you will meet with your dedicated salesmen and construction supervisor to map out the perfect position for your pool within your property.
During this stage, we dive deep into the specifics of the project, taking into consideration every aspect. This is the time when we encourage our clients to ask any relevant questions they may have, and it’s also the perfect opportunity to make any last-minute adjustments to ensure your pool is tailored to your unique needs and desires.
Excavation
As we embark on the Excavation Stage (CLICK TO EXPLORE) of your pool project, our team and the excavation experts join forces to bring your vision to life. Together, we arrive on-site, ready to dig the hole that will become the foundation of your dream pool.
Although the duration of this stage varies based on the project’s specific needs, we remain committed to ensuring that every detail is meticulously executed. So, whether it takes one day or multiple days to complete, we remain steadfast in our dedication to delivering a high-quality finished product that exceeds your expectations.
Steel Reinforcement & Internal Plumbing
As we move forward with your pool construction, our team of dedicated steel fixers arrives on site to bring the plans to life. With precision and expertise, they meticulously complete the Internal Work (CLICK TO EXPLORE) ensuring that every detail aligns with the engineering specifications.
Once the steel fixers have finished their work, our engineers conduct a thorough inspection to ensure that the structure is not only visually stunning but also structurally sound.
With the steel in place, it’s time for our talented plumbers to take the reins. They skillfully install the internal plumbing that will run throughout the pool’s shell, ensuring that every connection is secure and that the system runs flawlessly.
Concrete
Our Concrete Team (CLICK TO EXPLORE) arrives onsite with the supervision of the Environ team. With precision and expertise, they begin pouring the concrete, carefully adhering to the specific design and specifications discussed during the mark-out. As the concrete is pumped in and expertly dowelled, your pool begins to take shape, with each curve and contour crafted to perfection. This is a truly exciting moment in the pool construction process, as you can begin to see your vision taking shape before your very eyes.
Filtration
After our skilled concrete team has poured and shaped the pool according to your vision, it’s important to let the concrete cure for four weeks to ensure that it reaches optimal strength. During this time, we begin the process of ordering your pool equipment, ensuring that everything is in place for the next phase of construction.
Once the concrete has cured, we move on to the installation of your Filtration Equipment, which is carefully located according to your specific design and preferences. Whether it’s positioned behind a feature wall, down the side of your house, or within a dedicated filtration room, we work with you to find the perfect location for this critical component of your pool system.
Coping / Tiling Stage
As we move into the tiling phase of your pool construction, we enter one of the most critical stages of the process. With the tiles delivered and our skilled tiler ready to work, your pool begins to take on the vision that you have dreamed of.
This is a truly exciting moment in the pool construction process, as the Tiling Stage (CLICK TO EXPLORE) is when you can truly start to see the beauty and elegance of your pool come to life.
Depending on the scope of the tiling works, this stage can take anywhere from two days to two weeks, with our team working diligently to ensure that every tile is placed with care and precision.
Pebble Stage
As we move towards the completion of your pool construction, we enter the final major stage the Pebble Crete installation, this typically takes two days to complete. On the first day, our skilled team creates and installs the pebble crete mixture, carefully applying it to your pool to ensure a smooth and even finish.
After allowing the pebble crete to dry overnight, our team returns to acid wash the surface, bringing out the vibrant colors and stunning finish that will transform your pool into a true work of art. This is an exciting moment, as you start to see the vision of your pool fully realised.
Commission
The next trade we will have on-site is a skilled plumber who will complete the Commissioning of your pool. This is a critical stage in the process, as it involves firing up the filtration equipment and adding an initial chemical mix to your pool, ensuring that it is ready for swimming. It’s an exciting moment, as you prepare to take your first swim and enjoy all of the benefits that your new pool has to offer.
Handover
Before we conclude our work on your project, we will arrange a Swimming Pool Handover (CLICK TO EXPLORE) and Practical Completion, which is conducted by The Pool Builders Pool Shop With years of experience in all things pool equipment and pool chemistry, their team will provide a comprehensive water analysis and equipment demonstration, ensuring that your pool is fully operational and ready for use.
During the handover, you will receive a detailed explanation of how to operate and maintain your pool’s equipment, including chlorinators, pool cleaners, remote controls, and more. We will walk you through the process step-by-step, answering any questions you may have along the way.
Pool Servicing
At the end of the build we feel you have invested so much into this project – to just walk away.
That is why with every contract sold we have a complimentary Pool Servicing Contract in conjunction with The The Pool Builders Pool Shop, in which you will receive 12 months of pool servicing complimentary to help you maintain your new pool, and enjoy it for years to come.
Every month for One Year Pool Builders will attend your home and complete a full Pool Service of your pool, inclusive of the following:
- Brush down of pool steps, walls and floors
- Removal of water debris
- Clean of basket contents in the skimmer box and pool pump
- Check for pool staining or defects
- Water chemistry test (water test and chemical balance check)
- Clean out any debris from your robotic cleaner
- Set up pool cleaner cycle and program your weekly timer
- Full equipment check on all filtration, check for any maintenance
- requirements (check seals for leaks)
- Filters backwashed and cartridges cleaned
- Add the required chemicals (this is an extra charge) specified in your unique water chemistry report (emailed directly to your inbox)
